All the members joining us for the first bingo evening, please bear with us, we are doing our best! On Friday night, please be prepared to share tables as limited space is available. We look forward to seeing you all next week and to welcome you to the new look UKCA Social club. We hope you like the changes. Debbie. Dear members,
Some good news for you all. We are opening the Club on Friday 2nd April for a cod and chip bingo night. 15 Euros gets you 5 games of bingo and a large cod and chip supper, to book ring Debbie on 99057368. Food between 5.00 - 6.00pm, eyes down at 7.00pm. The first Sunday lunch will be on Easter Sunday, the 4th of April. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Anyone who has an hour to spare, any morning this week, please come along to the club house, it's a hive of activity and we'd love to see you and put you to work! Although the volunteers have done a fantastic job so far, there are plenty of jobs that still need doing to get us spick and span for our reopening. Thank you in advance. Debbie. Dear members,
We aim to open the Club very shortly whether inside or only outside. Can anybody help? We are in desperate need of umbrellas, parasols etc . If any member has any of these items and they are passing the Club any day this week, they would be gladly accepted and greatly appreciated. Thank you. Debbie. Prize winners have been contacted by email. If you bought a ticket and are a current member, but for some reason are not regularly receiving the UKCA newsletters please contact the UKCA membership secretary to update your email information and check if you are on the winners list. Winners can collect their prizes by visiting the Club on Sunday between 10 am and 12 noon. Or if you haven't re-joined yet, why not visit the Club to re-join and check if you are a prize winner at the same time.
Good morning members,
A few things to say this morning 1/ xmas raffle be drawn today lucky winners will be notified. 2/ membership renewals every day this week including Sundays. 3/ Anne one of our welfare team of volunteers is doing more volunteering work for Caritas charity (the learning refuge). Anne teaches English to young refugee children and to create a fun way of learning through play Anne needs our help. Please if anyone has any of the following to donate to this charity they can bring them to the Club any morning when passing. Remnants of fabric, bobbins, thread, pins & needles, scissors, buttons, zips , iron and board, an old sewing machine, if possible or anything else you can think of to create play by fun. Debbie. Dear members,
Once again, a big thank you to all who have re-joined the club so far, I’m sure you are all aware of the latest disappointing news which is further delaying the opening of your club. On the positive side we are confident negotiating a continued reduction in rent which will help us get through the next few months, but this on its own is not enough as there are still utilities and licenses to be paid so I urge those of you who have not yet re-joined to do so now as there is no help from the government for establishments like ours but if we stand together then I am sure we can survive. Many of the council and their partners have worked wonders, on a shoe string, to give a refreshed look to the club and we cannot wait for the members and guests to be able to enjoy the new look. You can view the changes on Facebook UKCA community social club Paphos. The membership secretary will again be in the club on Sunday 14th March to renew memberships between 10am and 12 midday. Debbie Dear members,
Hopefully The Club will reopen on Tuesday 16th March, confirmation to follow. Membership renewals again this Sunday between 10.00am and 12 midday. Debbie. For those who haven't yet renewed their road tax....
Transportation officials say there will be no deadline extension for motor vehicle registration renewals, with police saying fines will be issued to road tax violators from March 11. According to Transportation Department Director, Yiannis Nicolaides, March 11 is the latest possible day vehicle owners can still renew their road tax without penalty. Road tax can be renewed online at http://rtd.mcw.gov.cy, at commercial banks, at citizens’ services centres, district post offices and the headquarters and district offices of the Road Transport Department. Fines start at €85 and will be levied from March 11th onwards. |
