More information regarding driving license renewals and car insurance for 70 yr olds

DRIVING LICENSE UPDATE.
A member of the UKCA Club has just informed me that he has been in contact with his insurance broker and has sent an email to the road transport officer Petros Xenophontos.
Email address;   pxenophontos@rtd.mcw.gov.cy
Who has confirmed the validity of his driving licence is extended until resumption of normal services.
Your insurance underwriters will continue to cover your vehicle on receipt of this written extension confirmation.
If the above email address is rejected try roadtransport@rtd.mcw.gov.cy or MAvgousti@rtd.mcw.gov.cy
I hope this information helps to all those coming up to their 70th birthdays / or are on a 3 year renewal .
