A reminder that the Annual General Meeting will be held at the club on Saturday 28th April. As one of its actions the meeting will be required to approve the ‘associations’ updated ‘articles of association’ (Constitution,) in conformity with the recently introduced new law governing associations and institutions.
The current Council will be ending its term of service at the AGM but its members will be eligible for re-election. Any regular or life member of the club wishing to stand for election to the Council must submit a completed Nomination Form to the Secretary not later than 24th March. The vacancies will be for Chairman and 9 Council members. A member can be nominated for both Chairman and Council member but separate nomination forms will be required. Nomination forms are available from the Secretary ( Contact Detail on 'Contact Us' Page).
Any special resolution that a member may wish to put before the AGM must be supported and submitted to the Secretary not later than 24th March. Only matters on the Agenda for the AGM can be considered at the AGM.
The notice calling the AGM and supporting papers will be available to members by 7th April.
