The presentation is entitled:
"Security Devices - or at least my take on them".
Presenter : David Owen

I will be looking at what members can do to make their properties more secure and will be directed at those who want to follow a hands on approach rather than engage the services of professionals.
In particular, I will be looking at physical securities (doors, windows and locks), burglar alarms, lighting, security cameras (external and internal) having Internet base stations.
In the presentation I will refer to the precautions that I have taken and which I feel that anybody with some DIY experience could undertake.
With my experience as a chartered loss adjuster I feel that I do some have practical experience on what I will be talking about.
I hope that the morning will be of interest and intend to develop it with members participation with their own experiences.

About the 'Computer Technology Group'

The 'Computer Club' was the first part of the former 'Computer and Camera Group' to be formed with a few enthusiasts meeting to share knowledge (& frustrations) in the early days of computing.

This Club brings people together who are interested in computers and other digital devices or peripherals, e.g. smart phones, printers, digital TV's etc; it also welcomes newcomers to the digital world who want to improve their understanding and skills.

You don't have to bring a computer with you - most meetings are in the form of lectures covering a huge range of topics and activities sometimes aimed at absolute beginners or (less often) highly technical. They can range from browsing the internet safely and the various options for backing up, to making a calendar for your family at Christmas (the club has a binding machine for members to use) staying 'safe' on Facebook or how to clean your keyboard.
